Rusk Rehabilitaton Center
For more than 30 years Rusk Rehabilitation Center has been
providing quality care to people who have suffered an injury
or illness. Rusk has achieved a reputation throughout Missouri and surrounding states as one of the
foremost centers for rehabilitation and physical medicine.
No other mid-Missouri hospital provides such comprehensive
services in one place. In 1997, the University formed a
partnership with HealthSouth, the largest provider of free
standing rehabilitation facilities in the world. As part
of this partnership, HealthSouth built a beautiful
60 bed rehabilitation hospital and outpatient rehabilitation
facilities. The facility also includes a therapeutic pool.
Rusk is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation
of Rehabilitation Facilities and the Joint Commission of
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Rusk offers inpatient
and outpatient programs specializing in treatment for disabilities
including brain injuries, stroke, arthritis, spinal cord
injury, chronic pain, and industrial injury. Rusk also offers
a specialized pediatric rehabilitation program.
