Vocational Rehabilitation

The Vocational Rehabilitation program offers a variety of services designed to assist individuals with employment-related concerns.

Vocational evaluation

Through the use of psychometric testing, work sampling and situational assessments, the consumer may learn more about his or her interests, skills and aptitudes. The program participant, and often his or her family, will work with staff to use the results of these tests in further career exploration. Throughout the program, the consumer is regarded as a key member of the vocational team as he or she works with staff to identify realistic long- and short-term vocational goals.

Employment development

Through a series of employment development activities, individuals are able to develop work skills, physical stamina and appropriate work habits. Services offered include simulated work activities, various supervised tasks performed throughout Missouri Rehabilitation Center grounds and assessments conducted at employment settings in the community.
