MU Rural Track Program

To help address the shortage of medical providers in rural areas, the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, in conjunction with the University of Missouri Area Health Education Center (MU-AHEC Office), has implemented a strategy to encourage MU medical students to pursue a career in rural medicine. As part of this strategy, medical students may receive part of their medical training at a community-based clinical education sites under the guidance of community-based faculty.
