COLUMBIA, Mo. — Columbia Regional Hospital will co-sponsor the 21st annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 13.

Approximately 900 participants will begin the race between Sixth and Ash streets in downtown Columbia. The route is certified by the USA Track and Field Commission.

Registration is $25 for registrants 15 and older. Children ages 14 and younger can participate in the 5K for $10 or participate for free in the Mayor’s Mile, a separate race that will begin after the 5K run. Each participant of the Mayor’s Mile will receive a ribbon and a T-shirt.

Entry forms are available at Columbia Regional Hospital, KFRU-1400 AM, Tryathletics, Gold’s Gym, Wilson’s Total Fitness Center, MU’s Student Recreation Center, Key Largo Fitness and the City of Columbia Activity and Recreation Center.

A ceremony will follow the race to present awards to first-, second- and third-place runners in each age category. The first-place overall winners in the men’s and women’s categories will receive a gift certificate valued up to $100 for a pair of New Balance running shoes from Tryathletics.

All proceeds from the race will benefit the Columbia Track Club, which helps young people participate in track events and camp each summer.
