Media Advisory: South Providence Medical Park Groundbreaking
COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri Health Care will break ground on the South Providence Medical Park with a ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at 551 E. Southampton Drive in Columbia. The medical park will be the site of the University Physicians-South Providence clinic.
Speakers at the ceremony will include Tim Wolfe, president of the University of Missouri System; Harold Williamson Jr., M.D., vice chancellor of the University of Missouri Health System; Mitch Wasden, Ed.D., MU Health Care chief executive officer and chief operating officer; John Lauriello, M.D., medical director of the Missouri Psychiatric Center and chair of the Department of Psychiatry; Steven Zweig, M.D., chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine; Michael LeFevre, M.D., vice chair and director of clinical services of the Department of Family and Community Medicine; and Thomas Selva, M.D., professor and director of general pediatrics for the MU School of Medicine and chief medical information officer for MU Health Care.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on the construction site at the intersection of Providence Road and Southampton Drive. Parking is available at the southeast corner of the Rock Bridge High School lot. Shuttles will transport attendees from the parking area to the ceremony location.
