Missouri Palliative Care Program
We help you where you are

If you are seriously ill, you should know that University of Missouri Health Care has a program to help you - wherever you are in the disease process, and whether you are living at home, in a nursing facility or hospitalized.

Palliative care may be right for you if you suffer from pain or other symptoms due to a serious illness. Serious illnesses may include cancer, heart disease, respiratory disease, kidney failure, Alzheimer’s, AIDS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and multiple sclerosis.

What is it?
Palliative care is offered through a health care program focusing on expert treatment of the pain, discomfort and stress that can occur with life-limiting illnesses. Our program is open to adults of any age and at any stage of an illness.

Palliative care is not giving up - it is getting the best for you and your family. Palliative care can be given along with treatments that may control or improve your disease such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

To reach the Missouri Palliative Care Program, please call (573) 884-7103.
