Pastoral Care
During crises or major life changes such as cancer, a person's sense of spirituality and their belief system often come into focus. Ellis Fischel Cancer Center's chaplain offers patients and family members the opportunity to explore their belief system in an interdenominational supportive manner.
Our chaplain may be a part of your health care team. Services available include:
- Spiritual assessments
- Traditional religions functions such as prayer and sacraments
- Personal visitation
- Spiritual guidance and grief support
- Crisis intervention
- Assistance in acquiring support services from ones own tradition or faith
- Help with exploring new meaning/hope in life changes
