MU Health Care Shines a Pink Light on Breast Cancer Awareness
In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, University of Missouri Health Care is shining a pink light on the disease in October. Lights inside and outside University Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, and Women's and Children's Hospital are colored pink this month. Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Raises Breast Cancer Awareness
About one in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and about 70 percent of women with breast cancer will not have any of the risk factors commonly associated with the disease. As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, experts at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center are encouraging women to schedule regular screenings to catch the disease as early as possible.

Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Partners with American Cancer Society to Host Enrollment Event for Cancer Prevention Study
Ellis Fischel Cancer Center will host an enrollment event for the American Cancer Society Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in Room 2008 at Ellis Fischel's new facility at University Hospital, One Hospital Drive.
