Upcoming activities
New program for breast cancer survivors: Moving Forward: A pilot nutrition, exercise and quality of life intervention for breast cancer survivors. If you're a breast cancer survivor and interested in a wellness program that incorporates exercise, nutrition and quality of life, then you might be a candidate for the "Moving Forward" study. The 12-week program kicks off in January 2010. Participants will receive at no cost a gym membership to the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC) in Columbia, fitness and nutrition information in collaboration with Hy-Vee, a gym bag and water bottle and cooking demonstrations and exercise classes.
