Childbirth Education and Infant Care
The Family Birth Center offers a series of childbirth classes, publications and a variety of other informational material for answering any questions you may have about pregnancy and childbirth.
For your convenience, a variety of classes and times are available to first-time parents, current parents and 2- to 10-year-old siblings. We encourage a support person to attend classes with you. Experts teach classes covering such topics as relaxation and pain-management techniques during labor and delivery, Cesarean section, breastfeeding, how to cope with physical and emotional changes, car-seat safety, infant safety and CPR.
Additional information about infant care, safety and parenting is available at all times on Tiger TV, which broadcasts educational programs regarding care of yourself and your infant directly to the television in your room.
Call (573) 499-6101 for details on any of the classes or tours. Registration is required for the classes. Click on the title of the class to open the online registration form.
