Epilepsy

Epilepsy is a neurological condition involving the brain that makes people more susceptible to having recurrent, unprovoked seizures. It is one of the most common disorders of the nervous system and affects people of all ages, races and ethnic background. Almost three million Americans live with epilepsy.

The Missouri Epilepsy Program is recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Center as a Level 4 epilepsy center. Our program is the only Level 4 recognized program in mid-Missouri. Our team offers a regular outpatient clinic and evaluation of paroxysmal events suspected to be seizures. They also specialize in the pre-surgical evaluation of patients suffering from drug resistant epilepsy.
