Huntington's disease is a dominantly inherited disorder most commonly identified in people between 30 and 50 years of age. Symptoms include involuntary movements, psychiatric difficulties, depression or psychosis and dementia. Genetic testing and counseling is available. There is no cure, however many of the manifestations of the disease can be helped with medications.

Symptoms:

• Abnormal involuntary jerking movement
• Dementia
• Psychiatric difficulties (depression and/or psychosis)
