Collapsed lung due to medical treatment

During certain medical procedures, there's a chance that the patient's lung could be accidentally punctured. This can let air escape the lung and cause it to collapse. This complication is rare, and sometimes it can't be prevented. However, average or lower rates of lung collapse may be a sign of higher-quality care.
