Ranked by the Missourian as one of the top live acts in Columbia, Gainor and Friends is a bluegrass group that features Barry Gainor, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon at University of Missouri Health Care. Gainor is fundraising for Children’s Hospital by selling his compact disc, “Bonesetter’s Best and Bonuses,” at the orthopaedic clinic front desk in University Hospital. More than $8,000 has been raised for Children’s Hospital through Gainor’s music. The CD costs $18 and checks can be made payable to MU Children’s Hospital.
