Massage therapy for faculty and staff Massage therapy is offered to benefit-eligible faculty and staff of University of Missouri and University of Missouri Health Care. The massage office is located in the Fit for Life facility at GL-20 in University Hospital. New prices announced for wellness program massages New rates for massages by Jeff Rioux, massage therapist for Healthy for Life: The T.E. Atkins University of Missouri Wellness Program, will begin in March. Rates for employees and their immediate family members will be $30 for 30 minutes, $45 for an hour and $65 for 90 minutes. Rates for non-employees will be $40 for 30 minutes, $65 for an hour and $85 for 90 minutes. Rioux specializes in neuromuscular, orthopaedic, sports and Swedish massages. Gift certificates are available at Rioux’s office, located at GL-20 in University Hospital, University Hospital’s Medtique gift shop or the wellness program’s office, located at the Heinkel Building, Room 202. Besides Swedish-based relaxation massage, he specializes in orthopedic massage, neuromuscular therapy, therapeutic stretching and sports massage. The modalities Jeff employs are designed to reduce stress and anxiety; bring pain relief or help manage pain; rehabilitate from injury; and improve function, performance and ease of movement. |
