Clinical Simulation Center
The School of Medicine's Russell D. and Mary B. Shelden Clinical Simulation Center opened May 12, 2008. This 26.5 Million state-of-the-art facility devotes over 10,000 square feet to a broad range of simulation technologies, from standardized patients in the clinical setting to fully simulated operating rooms. Several medical mannequins are used in the center allowing fellows, residents and medical students to practice a wide range of procedures including rare procedures not common to the medical setting. The simulation center is now one of the 27 world wide testing centers for the fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery program.
