Recruitment and Retention

MU Health Care is inviting phenomenal nurses and health care professionals to join our team and rewarding our current staff. Initiatives are designed to recruit and retain not only registered nurses and LPNs, but also surgical technicians, certified medical assistants and genetic counselors. Check out some of the great programs we have, including:

  • *Student Loan Repayment: If you’re an RN or surgical technician hired to work in specific high-volume areas, we’ll help you pay off your student loans, up to $10,000. Current RNs and RTs qualify as well.
  • *Retention Reward: Don’t have student loans? If you’re an RN or surgical technician hired to work in specific high-volume areas, we’ll reward you with $10,000 to use however you like. Current RNs and surgical technicians qualify as well.
  • *Referral Reward: All of our employees can earn rewards from $3,000 to $10,000 for referring great nurses and health care professionals to work in specific areas. When you refer a qualified candidate who’s hired, you’ll also be entered into a drawing this fall for a trip for four to Hawaii.
  • Weekend RNs: We’ve changed compensation and now pay $8 an hour more than base hourly wage, plus additional days off.
