Contact the area in which you’re interested in shadowing to schedule a date and time. Enter all dates and times on the Application (Form 2). If you do not see your area of interest, please email MUHCShadowProgram@health.missouri.edu for assistance.
Obtain your ID badge.
Once you set up a shadow date, send an email to MUHCShadowProgram@health.missouri.edu to request to set up a date and time to bring in your application and get your ID badge. Badges cannot be picked up sooner than 48 hours before your shadow date. Badges for Monday shadow events can only be picked up on that Monday.
Badges are made from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, Monday through Friday. You must wear your ID badge when you job shadow.
Complete the preceptor form.
Bring your Preceptor Form (Form 3) to your shadow event. Make sure you have the person you are shadowing (the preceptor) confirm the date and hours on the form and sign the document. Instructions for returning the form to University Hospital's shadow program office are on the document.
You must complete and return a signed form for each shadow event in order to participate in future shadow events.
