University Hospital offers several amenities to make your stay or visit as pleasant as possible.
Essentials at University Hospital is located in the lobby by the East elevators. It offers a wide range of made to order items and grab and go options. Nutritional information is available for menu items. Essentials is open from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, including holidays.
The Grille Downstairs
The Grille Downstairs at University Hospital is located on the ground floor towards the west hallway. It offers a wide range of made to order items as well as featured daily entrees. Visa, MasterCard & Discover are accepted for credit or debit. The Grille Downstairs is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and Midnight to 2:00 a.m. daily, including holidays.
We accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover credit & debit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
The Grille Downstairs Menu
University of Missouri Health Care offers hotel-style room service at its hospitals. The service features made-to-order, freshly prepared food allowing for more personalized service. Once the doctor has written a diet order for the patient, a restaurant-style menu appropriate for the diet order will be delivered to the patient. The patient selects the items from a restaurant-style menu, places a call to our room service attendant and the meal is delivered within 45 minutes. Room service meals are available from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Patients and visitors to University Hospital may park free of charge in the four-level visitor parking garage at the intersection of Hospital and Monk drives, next to the hospital. If the Patient and Visitor Parking Garage is full, you may be directed to a surface lot located south of the hospital. Please contact Guest Relations at 573-882-1053 if you receive a parking ticket in error.
University of Missouri Health Care is pleased to offer valet parking to our patients and visitors. The free service is available at University Hospital’s main entrance from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Boone County National Bank offers an automatic teller machine (ATM) in University Hospital’s main hallway.
Members of the Mizzou Credit Union may use the Credit Union Exchange (CUE) machine located across from the Human Resources department in the west end of the main floor. The CUE machine also offers CIRRUS and BankMate service.
A special beeper service is available for visitors who are waiting to hear about patients who are in surgery. Please inquire at the Information Desk in the main lobby.
Hospital volunteers provide a cart stocked with complimentary books and magazines for your reading pleasure. If you would like to have the cart stop by your room, please ask your nurse to call Volunteer Services.
Wireless internet service is available from your wireless device in patient rooms and waiting areas. For questions or support, please contact Hospitality Services at 573-882-8220.

Open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Medtique Gift Shop
Located off of Main Lobby, toward first floor patient tower, of University Hospital, One Hospital Drive.
Open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Wishing Well Gift Shop
Located in the lobby of MU Women's and Children's Hospital, 404 Keene Street.
Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We are pleased to offer online catalogs for secure 24-hour shopping for our Wishing Well and Medtique gift shops. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover. If you don't see what you want in our online collection, call the location during business hours. Our staff and volunteers can assist you in choosing an appropriate gift for your special patient.
