University of Missouri Children's Hospital is proud to be one of more than 160 hospitals nationwide to participate in the Kohl's Cares Partnership Program. Since the inception of Kohl's Cares for Kids® in 2000, Kohl's has turned $5 books and plush into more than $102 million for children's initiatives nationwide while providing affordable books for millions of eager readers. Locally, since 2007 Kohl's Cares for Kids® has raised nearly $200,000 for the Kohl’s Buckle Up program in partnership with our Pediatric Injury Prevention & Safety Outreach Program.
The Kohl’s Buckle Up program helps keep our kids safe while they are cruising in their family cars and while they are riding their bicycles. The best way to protect children in the car is to put them in the right seat, at the right time, and use it the right way. For more information about safety events, click here.
The program uses profits from the sale of special merchandise in mid-Missouri Kohl's Department stores, which supports the safety of our local children through providing the necessary safety products and education.
