UMHC offers community health screenings In conjunction with American Heart Month, University of Missouri Health Care will offer free health screenings to help local residents identify potential risk factors for heart disease. The heart health screenings are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Macy’s department store at 201 North Stadium in Columbia. Health care professionals from the Department of Cardiology at the MU School of Medicine and University Hospital’s Fit for Life program will offer body mass index checks, blood pressure checks and cholesterol screenings. Staff will also be available to answer questions regarding heart-related issues. Advanced appointments are required for a cholesterol screening. Please call (573) 882-4283 to make your reservation. |
