Ashish Nanda, MD, a neurointerventionalist and co-director of MU Health Care’s Missouri Stroke Program, discusses state designated Level I comprehensive stroke centers.
“This new facility is three times larger than our old eastside office, which was previously on Portland Avenue,” said John Cowden, M.D., chair and Roy E. Mason Distinguished Professor of Ophthalmology at MU Health Care. “With this new center, we are able to offer expanded diagnostic and eye care services to our eastside patients. We are very pleased that we’ve been able to do this while maintaining a location that is convenient.”
The new center also includes University Optical East, featuring a complete line of fashion and designer frames for custom eyeglasses, sunglasses, sports eyewear, contact lenses and pediatric frames for babies and children.
In addition to the new center, MU Health Care will continue to provide eye care services at the Mason Eye Institute in the lobby of University Hospital.
