Pink Pursuit Trivia Event to Raise Funds for Mammograms at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center

COLUMBIA, Mo. - On Saturday, Sept. 29, The District in downtown Columbia will host the third annual Pink Pursuit breast cancer fundraiser. The event includes a trivia contest, dance party and silent auction to raise funds for providing mammograms to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center patients.
"We're so appreciative of everyone who has worked hard to put on Pink Pursuit the past few years, especially the event organizer, Liz Schulte," said Kristen Fritschie, coordinator of guest services at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. "Not only does it raise awareness for breast cancer and the importance of regular screening to catch the disease early, but it also helps us provide mammograms to women in financial need."
Pink Pursuit begins at 6 p.m. with a scavenger hunt-style trivia contest at several locations throughout The District. At 8 p.m., a dance party and silent auction will begin at Bleu Restaurant and Wine Bar, with items including one-of-a-kind T-shirts painted with the pink handprints of University of Missouri athletes.
For more information or to register for Pink Pursuit, please contact Liz Schulte at (573) 239-4861 or
