Fourth Annual Pink Pursuit To Raise Funds For Mammograms At Ells Fischel Cancer Center
COLUMBIA, Mo. — The District in downtown Columbia will host the fourth annual Pink Pursuit breast cancer fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 5. The event includes a trivia contest, dance party and silent auction to raise funds for providing mammograms to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center patients.
“Pink Pursuit not only raises awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening, but it also helps provide vital mammograms to women in financial need,” said Kristen Fritschie, coordinator of guest services at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. “The efforts of Liz Schulte and the other Pink Pursuit organizers are making a real difference in the lives of many mid-Missouri women.”
Pink Pursuit begins at 6 p.m. with a restaurant tour with trivia at several locations throughout the District. At 8 p.m., a cocktail party and silent auction with music and dancing will begin at Quinton’s, with items including one-of-a-kind T-shirts painted with the pink handprints of University of Missouri athletes.
