Community Calendar: Ellis Fischel Seminar to Focus on Cancer, Aging, Nutrition
What: Ellis Fischel Cancer Center will sponsor a free seminar on cancer, aging and nutrition. The event is part of the Women’s Health and Cancer Prevention Series. It is free and open to the public.
Why: According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, more than 7 percent of Missouri adults are living with a form of cancer other than skin cancer.
Who: The seminar will be led by Mark Hunter, M.D., a gynecologic oncologist at University of Missouri Health Care.
When: The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch throughout the presentation from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 15.
Where: The event center at the Country Club of Missouri, 1300 Woodrail Ave. in Columbia.
How: Please register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, June 12. The seminar is free, but space is limited.
