Community Calendar: MU Children’s Hospital Helps Parents of Children with Special Health Needs

What:

University of Missouri Children’s Hospital staff will provide training for families who have children with special health needs. The training will focus on navigating through health and insurance systems, as well as organizing patient information, improving communication with health providers and coping with stress.

Who:

The training is free and open to any parent of a child up to age 18 who has special health needs. For more information, please contact Lacey Prater, Children’s Hospital Pediatric Services, at (573) 771-4266.

When:

8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 18

Where:

Participants will be notified of the training location upon confirmation of registration.
