MU Health Care to Hold Emergency Preparedness Drill Wednesday, Nov. 18
University of Missouri Health Care will conduct a preparedness exercise by simulating multiple emergency situations.
MU Health Care will conduct the internal exercise with assistance from a limited number of American Red Cross student volunteers who will simulate potential patients.
The afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 18
The exercise will take place at MU Health Care hospitals and clinics.
MU Health Care’s Department of Emergency Preparedness conducts numerous drills and training exercises throughout the year. Preparedness exercises, particularly those that are simulations, are beneficial because they provide training and feedback for real-life scenarios.
The exercise is not open to the media.
