Media Advisory: MU Children’s Hospital Patient Chosen as National Ambassador

What:

A kick-off announcement and event for Missouri’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Champion Child. Ten-year-old Connor Strope, a patient at University of Missouri Children’s Hospital, has been chosen to represent Missouri as the state’s Champion Child. Connor, who lives in Jefferson City, was diagnosed with a congenital genetic disorder that can cause weak and brittle bones.

Each year, the Children’s Miracle Network designates one champion child per state, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. The children serve as ambassadors and help educate the public about the importance and financial needs of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

When and Where:

Noon to 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the Courtyard Marriott, 3301 LeMone Industrial Blvd. in Columbia
