Community Calendar: MU to Celebrate India Day
In celebration of India’s Republic Day, the University of Missouri Cultural Association of India will host the first MU India Day. The event will highlight achievements of faculty, students and staff from India or with links to India, including Ramesh Khanna, MD, the Karl D. Nolph Chair of Nephrology and professor of medicine at the MU School of Medicine. The event will conclude with a cultural celebration of India’s 67th Republic Day.
MU students, faculty, staff and campus community are invited to attend the free event.
The keynote speaker, Surenda Gupta, PhD, president and chief executive officer of the American Radiolabel Chemical Company in St. Louis, will speak on his journey from Indian graduate student to CEO of one of the world’s top suppliers of radiochemicals.

Shivendra Shukla, PhD, the Margaret Proctor Mulligan Professor in the Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology at the MU School of Medicine, is the faculty adviser for the MU Cultural Association of India.
