Pink Pursuit To Raise Funds For Mammograms At Ellis Fischel Cancer Center

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The District in downtown Columbia will host the fifth annual Pink Pursuit breast cancer fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 4. The event includes a trivia contest, dance party and silent auction to raise funds for providing mammograms to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center patients.

“Thanks to charitable donors such as the organizers of Pink Pursuit, women from across mid-Missouri who would otherwise be unable to afford a mammogram have the opportunity to be screened for breast cancer,” said Alison Pantuso, coordinator of outreach programs at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. “Pink Pursuit not only raises awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening, but it also helps provide vital mammograms to women in financial need.”

Pink Pursuit begins at 5 p.m. with a restaurant tour with trivia at several locations throughout The District. At 7 p.m., a cocktail party and silent auction with music, dancing and a photo booth will begin at Willie’s and The Fieldhouse.
