Media Advisory: ‘Slap Shot on Cancer’ to Present Check to Ellis Fischel Guest House
A rivalry between two University of Missouri fraternity houses has netted a pledge of $30,000 to support Ellis Fischel Cancer Center’s Ernest and Eugenia Wyatt Guest House. Members of the MU Beta Theta Phi and Sigma Chi fraternities recently held the second annual Slap Shot on Cancer hockey game. Slap Shot on Cancer is a philanthropic initiative hosted by Collegiate Charities. Representatives from the organization will present a check to the guest house, which provides housing accommodations for patients undergoing treatment at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and their family members.
