University Physicians-Keene offers medical care for the entire family. Part of University of Missouri Health Care, the clinic offers the latest in academic medicine in an environment similar to that of a private or small group practice. University Physicians-Keene is staffed by four board-certified family practitioners who provide preventive and non-urgent care to patients of all ages. The medical team usually also is available to treat urgent or acute illnesses, or illnesses that require fast but not emergency treatment. Examples of these conditions include high fever, severe vomiting, sprains or other intense pain. For urgent medical problems, a family practitioner is on call after 5 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays. For urgent but not life-threatening problems, call the University Hospital operator at (573) 882-4141 and ask to page the physician on call for your doctor. The on-call physician will direct you to the most appropriate place for you to receive care. For life-threatening illnesses or injuries, please go directly to the emergency room. |
