World-class care begins with injury prevention.

Children's Hospital works in partnership with Kohl's Cares, a nationwide sponsorship program supported by Kohl's Corporation to help support our injury prevention and outreach program.

Kohl's Cares sponsors our Kohl's Safety Store, where families who meet financial eligibility in Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, MIller, Morgan, Moniteau and Randolph counties may obtain safety items for their child(ren).

We are also affiliated with Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations united by the mission of preventing unintentional childhood injury. Unintentional childhood injury is one of the leading causes of death and disability for children ages 14 and under.  University of Missouri Health Care proudly represents Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cooper and Howard counties through a partnership with Safe Kids Columbia.

Safe Kids Columbia brings together a large array of safety contributors, including local health and safety experts, educators, corporations, foundations, volunteers, and many
more community members all dedicated to serving our mission of childhood protection.
Together, we strive to educate families about childhood safety and accident prevention, create safer environments for children, and advocate for improved laws to protect children.
