PET Scan Trials
The nuclear medicine team at Ellis Fischel is now offering NaF F-18 bone scans for your qualifying patients. This procedure is more sensitive than current planar or SPECT bone scan imaging techniques and has particular application for patients with prostate cancer, breast cancer and multiple myeloma.
Prior to receiving a PET Scan, you will need your primary care physician to fill out the Pre-PET Scan form. This is required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
