Stroke Rehabilitation

Cerebrovascular disease is one of the most common disabling conditions requiring rehabilitation. Patients with hemiparesis, cognitive and speech deficits benefit from a well-coordinated approach. After an evaluation to identify rehabilitation goals, patients may participate in an inpatient or outpatient program designed to return them to maximum independence. Our team will assist in each step along the way to ensure the best recovery possible.

The focus of our outpatient Stroke Clinic is comprehensive and interdisciplinary evaluation and management of patients who have suffered a stroke. Services include neuropharmacology, therapy recommendations for speech, occupational and physical therapy, neuropsychological evaluation, community integration and vocational rehabilitation, and driving evaluation and training. A separate clinic is offered for comprehensive evaluation and treatment of spasticity related to stroke.
