Family Medicine

Family medicine is the medical specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive health care for individuals and families. Our family medicine physicians are recognized as leaders in their field nationally. The MU School of Medicine's Department of Family and Community Medicine has been ranked in the top 10 in family medicine for 23 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report's Best Graduate Schools. As leaders in their field of medical specialty, our physicians realize that the cornerstone of family medicine is an ongoing, personal patient-physician relationship focused on integrated care. Our family medicine physicians integrate the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences to treat all ages, sexes, each organ and every disease. They emphasize preventive care and long-term relationships with patients. Our family medicine clinics are conveniently located throughout Columbia and elsewhere.
