Weight loss surgery is a journey that lasts a lifetime. The first step is choosing a program that not only provides a safe, comprehensive approach to weight loss surgery, but also the compassion and support needed to achieve weight loss results. Surgical weight loss provides a lasting solution to the constant struggle of weight gain. The surgeons and staff at Missouri Bariatric Services want to take that journey with you. We offer nationally recognized providers dedicated to the management of obesity related diseases and management including a dedicated on site bariatrician to help you achieve your weight loss goals and help you stay on track.

About Our Program

The decision to have weight loss surgery is an important one. Equally important is choosing a bariatric surgery program. The most important component to ensuring a quality program is appropriately trained surgeons.

Physicians

According to the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) Center of Excellence criteria, the surgeons must be certified by the American Board of Surgery, spend at least 51 percent of their time in the field, and perform more than 50 bariatric surgical cases per year. Missouri Bariatric Service's surgical team not only meets these criteria, but is one of the top bariatric surgery teams in the nation.

Staff

In addition to our surgeons, our program consists of a complete team dedicated to your care. Our nurses and dietitians have received special training in bariatrics. You'll have the opportunity to meet team members at the educational seminar as well as the office. These trusted individuals are dedicated to supporting you every step of the way.

Patient Support

One of the most important part of your weight loss surgery journey is support. At Missouri Bariatric Services, we have developed many online support resources.

Interactive Tool: BMI Calculator

This interactive tool estimates your risk of weight-related diseases by using your body mass index (BMI) along with your waist measurement and other factors. The higher the BMI, the greater the risk of some diseases, including high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, stroke, osteoarthritis, some cancers, and type 2 diabetes.
