University Hospitals and Clinics Staff Council Committees

Community Committee

This committee will handle community projects like fundraisers for Children’s Miracle Network and United Way and functions like Adopt a family for Christmas with the VAC (Voluntary Action Center) and evaluates the addition of other community fundraisers.

Staff Development Award Committee

This committee will handle the announcement for application of the nominations for the staff development award, reviewing applications and nominating/awarding those employees with the award. The award takes place twice a year.

Staff Forum Committee

This committee handles setting up for the Staff Forum and working with the Administrative Liaison to have it announced in the Insight, passing out evaluations and reviewing them, meet and greet employees at the Forum and introducing self for Staff Council and introducing administrator speakers.

Talent Show Committee

This committee works with the CRH Talent Show Committee to set up and budget for the yearly talent show.

Staff Appreciation Month Committee

This committee handles the Staff Appreciation activities for the Month of April/May, and works with CRH Staff Council to provide same activities for all employees such as cake walk, staff lunch, ice cream social and chili cookoff.

Staff Suggestion Committee

This committee handles the suggestions from the staff by e-mail and/or inner office mail. This committee works with managers and administration to better the facilities with suggestions from the staff.

Administration Breakfast Committee

This committee handles contacting managers for invitees for breakfast with administrative staff. Invites are sent to those employees who have shown above and beyond service in their departments and the breakfast should be seen as a reward and recognition for the service the employee has provided. Committee members (one at least each month) would attend the breakfast, help employees feel comfortable, introduce administrative speakers and help in discussions.

Communication Committee

This committee handles sending out communication to employees either by the Staff Council Web site, newsletters and/or the bulletin boards in the facility. This committee works with the other committees to communicate upcoming events to the employees of University of Missouri Health Care.
