University of Missouri Health Care provides comprehensive burn care for adults and children in the George David Peak Memorial Burn Care Center. This includes initial management of the severely burned patient as well as outpatient management of minor burns.

University Hospital is a tertiary care center that provides a full range of patient care services. It is the only Level I Trauma Center in mid-Missouri and one of only five in the state. In addition to having a dedicated emergency operating room and trauma surgeons available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the center has staff specially trained to handle adult and pediatric trauma patients.
