Office of Corporate Compliance When we consider health care, we have to think beyond the direct care we provide to our patients; we must also consider the laws, regulations, and policies that govern the way we deliver that care, how we protect patient information, and how we are reimbursed for our services. As a provider, you need to know how these laws, regulations, and policies affect the services you provide. Not only do they have an impact on your revenue, non-compliance can lead to civil and criminal penalties. As a member of MU Health Care in any capacity, you have an obligation to know what laws, regulations, and policies affect your work. We are each responsible for our own actions and the impact those actions have on the health of our health care system.
