University of Missouri Health Care supports Columbia Heart Walk
University of Missouri Health Care is a primary sponsor of the 2008 Columbia Heart Walk, set for Saturday, Aug. 23, at Stephens Lake Park, 2001 East Broadway, in Columbia.
Registration for the event will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the walk will start at 9:30 a.m. The walk is free, but donations will be accepted. To pre-register, please visit

Last year, 92 employees of University of Missouri Health Care participated in the Columbia Heart Walk. The eight teams raised more than $4,000 in support of the American Heart Association.
In return, all the proceeds from the walk support local medical research and educational programs of the American Heart Association. In the past five years, the American Heart Association has invested more than $3.2 million in research at the MU School of Medicine’s Dalton Cardiovascular Center.
