Patient Information
It is natural to have questions about joint replacement surgery. Despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of Americans have experienced tremendous improvement in their lifestyles, thanks to innovations in implants and surgical techniques, most of us have no reason to think about the joint replacement until the time comes to consider having the procedure.
Joint replacement is a process that requires an active, involved, patient with a positive attitude. The questions and answers included here are meant to help you prepare for your diagnosis, procedure, and recovery. We can't think of every question, but we invite you to submit a question if you don't see it in one of these pages, and we'll do our best to provide an answer.
We have divided the questions into categories:
After your surgery
On minimally invasive/small incision surgery
On hip resurfacing
