Active Release Techniques (ART)
Active Release Techniques (ART) is a soft-tissue, movement-based massage technique which addresses problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.
Athletic enhancement is available for people ages 12 and up at the Mizzou Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine clinic in Boonville. We offer a one-hour session focused on general and sport-specific agility, power, endurance and explosiveness. Athletes will work in groups of four or fewer in a structured program with the athlete's goals in mind.
Our athletic enhancement programs are designed to assist area athletes in improving their physical performance by:
- Running faster
- Jumping higher
- Starting and changing directions more quickly
- Improving balance and coordination
- Competing against other athletes
- Improving reaction time
