Payment Plans and Discounts
We offer our patients the option of setting up payment plans to pay outstanding balances. Because University of Missouri Health Care and University Physicians charges are billed separately, we are not able to combine payment plans for patients. You will be required to make separate arrangements for both accounts.
University of Missouri Health Care contracts with vendors to manage our payment plans. Once you have made arrangements to pay on your account, you will begin receiving billing statements from those vendors.

Prompt Payment Discount
University of Missouri Health Care and University Physicians offer our patients with no insurance coverage a prompt payment discount.
If you do not have health insurance coverage, we will automatically discount your hospital billing statement with the full discount offered. For your physician billing statement, you will receive an automatic discount to your bill. However, if you pay your bill in full within 30 days of your first statement, you may receive additional discounts on your bill. No additional discount is offered to our patients with insurance, because the majority of our patients have an insurance company with which we are contracted and those contracts require us to apply negotiated discounts to the charges.
Charges which are elective or considered part of a package procedure are not eligible for discounts. These charges are already discounted at what is considered a package price for both the facility and physician charges.
