Orthopaedic Rehabilitation

The goal of this program is to help patients improve movement and function, prevent further injury and to promote optimal wellness and fitness. Patients treated in the orthopedic program may have one or more of the following conditions:

  • Musculoskeletal diseases (arthritis)
  • Orthopedic trauma (sprains, fractures)
  • Reconstructive surgery (hip, knee or other joint replacement)

Patients learn about their ailment and their plan of care. Therapy modalities and techniques are used to decrease pain and inflammation and to restore normal alignment and function. Patients are taught proper body mechanics to use when lifting, carrying and reaching to prevent further injury.
