MU Health Care Maintains Missouri’s Top Designation for Stroke Care

University of Missouri Health Care has once again earned the state of Missouri’s highest designation as a Level 1 stroke center, maintaining its status as the only health care system in the region that offers patients Level 1 trauma, stroke and STEMI care programs. STEMI stands for ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction, a life-threatening type of heart attack caused by the complete blockage of a heart artery.

The practices of two local ear, nose and throat specialists will join University of Missouri Health Care. Gregory Campbell, MD, and Elizabeth ‘Susie’ Early, MD, are affiliating with the health system, effective Aug. 20 and Oct. 1, respectively.

MU Health Care Gives $400K to Fund Marching Mizzou Scholarships

University of Missouri Health Care will contribute $400,000 over the next four years to support the creation of the Marching Mizzou Scholarship Fund. The scholarships will help ensure that Marching Mizzou students have the necessary support to continue their educational and musical endeavors at MU.

MU Health Care Extends Health IT Platform to Capital Region Medical Center

Capital Region Medical Center (CRMC) has selected Cerner, a global leader in health care technology, to implement an integrated electronic health record (EHR) and revenue cycle management solutions to support improved health outcomes and optimized revenue functions. University of Missouri (MU) Health Care will extend its Cerner Millennium® domain to CRMC. As an affiliate of MU Health Care since 1997, the domain extension to CRMC will further the health system’s well-established collaboration with Cerner.
