Every October, the world goes pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, though, a Columbia woman hopes people will go beyond cute tee shirts and catchy slogans and decide to take action.

“Here's the thing: Go get it done,” said Allison Kurpius, a breast cancer survivor. “Get your mammogram done. Get yourself checked. Follow up on what your doctor says. It's just not something to play around with.”
