As an administrative fellow at University of Missouri Health Care, you can get involved in several exciting projects that will help you develop skills and prepare for your career in hospital administration. Below are some of the past projects that our administrative fellows have completed.

Our administrative fellows have:

  • Implemented a strategic plan that addressed the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model 
  • Co-led an initiative to develop a Patient Blood Management program, a series of initiatives designed to foster responsible usage of blood products
  • Coordinated a pilot program to reduce readmission in the Department of Family Medicine
  • Developed and presented a report on Destination Medical Communities to the Mayor’s Task Force on Medical Tourism 
  • Developed, tested and validated a process assuring timely communicating of changes in Attending and Residents to facilitate timely and accurate information handoffs essential for high quality and efficient patient care. Implemented the standardized process across different clinical services
  • Supported our relationship with MD Anderson Cancer Center by finding ways to increase HPV vaccinations rates among outpatient clinical settings
  • Led a multidisciplinary team to adopt a new model of prenatal care, Centering Pregnancy, for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology 
  • Conducted interim assignments as practice managers for Cardiology Clinic, Medicine Specialty Clinic, Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic, Neurology Clinic, Digestive Health Clinic and Endoscopy Labs
