About
Stephen Wassinger, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been practicing for three decades. He specializes in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery, using minimally invasive and robotic procedures, to treat conditions of the urinary and reproductive system such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence and mesh erosion.
Dr. Wassinger’s parents were both health care professionals and inspired him to help other people during difficult times in their lives. He approaches each patient with care and kindness, listens to their concerns and helps them feel comfortable talking about their issues. He seeks to build trust, informed consent and a shared understanding of each decision with each person he treats.
Outside of work, Dr. Wassinger’s hobbies include cycling, scuba diving and playing guitar. He and his wife of 30 years have three adult sons and a cat, Lenny.
