MU Health Care has conducted more than 1,000 tests for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since launching drive-thru testing last Wednesday. Daily testing has nearly doubled since MU Health Care relaxed requirements for eligibility Sunday afternoon. Since March 17, more than 1000 free video visits have been conducted as well.
The increase of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the state has prompted MU Health Care to enhance its visitation policy out of an abundance of caution for employees, patients and visitors. Additionally, the health system has started limiting elective procedures.
University of Missouri Health Care’s three Mizzou Quick Care locations, located within Columbia’s Hy-Vee grocery stores, will be closed to the public beginning tomorrow, March 19, until further notice.
